LIRIL

The Liril film launched in mid-70s was possibly the first to show a bikini-clad girl in Indian advertising, according to Kailash Surendranath, the ad filmmaker, who directed the film. It also marked a watershed in the portrayal of the Indian woman in soap ads: “prior to that she was always shown as very demure and mostly fully clad.”

The inauguration of the Opening Ceremony of the Asian Track and Field Games in New Delhi was a visual feast for the senses. One thousand dancers and student filled the grounds dressed in glittering silver. And from the centre of the stadium field Sharon rose 70 feet in the air ( with the help of a mixture of technology and machinery). As she rose into the skies, her gown kept cascading to the ground ..camouflaging the machinery beneath and creating a jaw dropping spectacle.
A spectacle never before attempted ..this was path breaking , ahead of its time and Alyque at his creative best.
